Meet the team
Rainer’s international career started as a merchant banker in Buenos Aires with Citi Group, following his graduation from the Universidad Catolica Argentina. Subsequently, he has worked in senior banking positions in Toronto, Paris and London for CIBC.
Rainer headed up Corporate Finance of Morgan Grenfell in Argentina where he assisted privately owned companies to raise finance. He then joined Jardine Matheson, the international trading, hotel and retail group, as Managing Director to develop corporate finance, debt finance, partnerships and cross-border opportunities. He was also Deputy Chairman at Matheson Bank.
Guy is leading the efforts to grow the FINPOINT lender panel to give SMEs better access to a variety of financial products from alternative finance and traditional banking sources.
Prior to joining FINPOINT, Guy worked for a number of Banks in senior roles including RBS, BNP Paribas and HSBC. He has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry much of it client facing but has also been involved in a number of projects to improve the delivery of services to customers. He has a BA Hons degree in Economic History from Exeter University.
Head of Product
Marcus heads up the product and marketing function, making sure the platform is delivering value to all users and allowing FINPOINT to execute on strategic partnership opportunities.
Before working at FINPOINT, he worked in a number of start-ups; recruiting leading IT companies to jointly launch the first pan-European cloud services platform targeted at SMEs, exceeding revenue targets by growing .com and .net domain name sales in emerging markets (Poland, Turkey, Russia) and building the first Fintech platform specialising in asset based lending in 2008.
Marcus started his career in Germany and has worked for internet businesses in the areas of networking, security and financial services. The common theme across his 10+ years’ experience is in promoting new technologies and building brands through partnerships, media engagement and advocacy work in Government.
